Philipp Aldrup

I am a German photographer based in Singapore. Attracted by the co-existence and overlap of Old and New, my work explores land- and cityscapes and how they converge, how architecture changes its meaning and appearance once it is outdated and hardly functioning. How old ways of life are altered under modern imperatives and how people's daily approaches change in an ever-changing world. I am drawn to the beauty and dinginess of the out-of-order, imperfect, out-dated, and seemingly useless.
